Adult Volunteer Program
Join our community of passionate and dedicated volunteers at Longue Vue House and Gardens! Our volunteer program offers adults the opportunity to engage in meaningful work across our beautiful gardens and historic grounds. Whether you’re interested in hands-on gardening, engaging with visitors, supporting educational initiatives, or assisting with special events, we have a place for you.

Garden Volunteer Program
Join our Garden Volunteer Program at Longue Vue House and Gardens, where you’ll have the opportunity to nurture and maintain our historic and vibrant landscapes. As a garden volunteer, you’ll work closely with our horticulture team, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of garden care while helping preserve the beauty and ecological balance of our grounds.

Teen Volunteer Program
Join our Teen Volunteer Program at Longue Vue House and Gardens! If you’re between 14 and 17, this program gives you a unique chance to explore interests, build skills, and connect with the community. Teen volunteers can choose from a variety of roles that make a meaningful impact on our historic grounds.

Junior Curators (ages 11-16)
Become a part of our Junior Volunteer Program! Every first Sunday during Free Family Sunday (11:00AM – 4:00PM), and for one week in both June and July (9:00AM-3:00PM). Volunteers ages 11-16 serve as greeters and tour guides, sharing Longue Vue’s rich history with guests. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop communication skills, engage with visitors, and become a key source of information about our legacy and mission.

Group Volunteering
Bring your team to Longue Vue House and Gardens for a rewarding day of service and connection! Our group volunteer program offers companies, schools, and social groups the chance to work together while making a meaningful impact. Whether you’re looking to spend a few hours or a full day with us, we’ll tailor the experience to fit your group’s size, goals, and interests.
Volunteer Perks: Volunteers receive free admission on their volunteer day, recognition on the Longue Vue website and newsletter, complimentary “Carrie” level membership once you reach 24 hours of service, and an invitation to the annual volunteer appreciation event. High school students can receive verification of hours worked if the volunteer opportunity is approved by the school.

Garden volunteers do weeding, raking, sweeping, planting, mulching, trimming, soil building, and more!
Does Longue Vue offer "low-impact" volunteer opportunities?
